Former Lekwa Mayor, Ms Caroline Matshidiso Morajane, died on 17 March after a short illness.

Ms Morajane served as mayor of Lekwa from 2012 to 2016.

Ms Morajane was admitted to Mar-Peh Medi-Care on 16 March later transferred to a hospital in Secunda.

Scores of friends and comrades paid their respects on 18 March at her family home in Simendeni Section.
