Old man dies outside his caravan at Trichardtsfontein Dam

TRICHARDT – An old man who lived in a caravan at the Trichardtsfontein Dam for decades, died last Wednesday.

He lived alone in his dilapidated dwelling and was often seen riding his bicycle through town. The community knew him merely as Oom Nick.

According to Const Valencia Koma, Trichardt Police’s spokesman, the old man’s body was found outside his caravan on Wednesday.

“We are investigating and are waiting for the results from the post mortem for the cause of death,” said Const Koma.

She did not have more information about the man’s identity at the time of going to press.
