eMBALENHLE – Shoprite workers are picketing outside Mall@eMba in demand of better working conditions.
They are demanding permanent employment and increment. They are saying the company is exploiting them by paying them peanuts. Ms Lebohanga Makgetha, worker, said they working longer hours and knock off without providing transportation.
“We are often raped and abused at night when we return from work.
“The company does not care about its workers.
“This must come to an end.”
The workers said they protest until Shoprite attend to them.
