Traffic officials worked for hours on end to regulate a congested Walter Sisuslu Drive during Easter holidays on 1 April.

Scores of vehicles, coming in and out of Standerton blocked traffic from Meyerville up to the R23 Road towards Johannesburg.

“Most of the travelers consisted of holidaymakers, returning to their various destinations.

According to traffic officials this included religious gatherings.

Traffic officials were visible at most intersection.
