Hail storm on the Volksrust Road claims life of a baby
According to the driver of the vehicle, he was on his way to Standerton when the taxi driver apparently lost control of the vehicle on the layer of hail on the road.
A baby died and six people were transported to the Standerton Hospital after an accident on the Volksrust Road on 30 April.
“A hail storm that previously raged might be the reason for the accident,” bystanders said.

According to the driver of the vehicle, he was on his way to Standerton when the taxi driver apparently lost control of the vehicle on the layer of hail on the road.
He said he tried to avoid the accident, but was unable to and hit the taxi on the side when it skidded sideways.
