Neighbours have seen four hearses in the street.

A wedding is taking place in Joe Slovo Street where the road has been blocked off.

Ms Ena van Rooyen, DA councillor, spoke to the people involved in the two events.

They said they did not know that they needed permission from the municipality to host these events during which parts of the roads and pavements are used.

“Solidariteit Helpende Hand had to get permission from the municipality to host their Kiddie Festival in Scheepers Street in Secunda last weekend and they were warned not to knock any pegs into the tar surface,” said Ms Van Rooyen.
