Students participate in programme to know their status

“We are trying to promote healthy living among our youth,” Ms Fikile Mngadi, peer educator, said.

Students of Gert Sibande TVET College participated in a higher education and training programme (HEAIDS) testing campaign on 8 May.

“The programme supports higher education institutions and TVET colleges in response to HIV/Aids, sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis,” Ms Ikhona Hlezuphondo, peer educator, said.

“This is done through teaching and learning as well as research and innovation through community engagements.”

The college held the initiative with the help of the Department of Health.
