Trichardt Equestrian Centre takes riders out over long weekend
Anyone who is not a member of the centre is welcome to ride along, but must be an able rider and willing to pay a minimal fee.
TRICHARDT – Several members of the Trichardt Equestrian Centre spent their long weekend exploring the fields around Trichardt on horseback.
According to Ms Rhodé van Staden, owner of the centre, they rode out every day and covered about 15km per day.
“This was just a way of keeping the kids occupied in a healthy and fun way during the short holiday. In the mornings those with upcoming competitions practiced and then we all went out in the afternoons.”
Ms Van Staden said the centre often takes their riders out on excursions over weekends and if the weather permits, they all take a swim in the farm dam afterwards.
“This is also a way for the children to bond and form a comaraderie.”
Anyone who is not a member of the centre is welcome to ride along, but must be an able rider and willing to pay a minimal fee.
