Court sentences two suspects to 18 years imprisonment

According to the Sakhile Police, the suspects were arrested on 9 November last year and remanded in custody throughout the trial proceedings.

The Standerton Magistrate’s Court sentenced Sipho Hadebe (35) and Sipho Mahlaba (34) on 14 May to an  effective 18 years imprisonment for housebreaking and theft.

Mr Allan Hamilton of Tribute Funeral Parlour, reported his business had been broken into and robbed on respectively 5 September and 8 October 2015.

Mr Matthys Grove reported a robbery at Toga Linings on 7 November last year.

According to the Sakhile Police, the suspects were arrested on 9 November last year and remanded in custody throughout the trial proceedings.

“We would like to thank the police for ensuring that justice was served,” Const Duduzile Zwane, communications officer, said.
