Sanco demands the removal of two Lekwa councillors

“We demand the municipality investigates the involvement of the councillors with an unfair employment process at Spoornet,” they said.

South African National Civic Organization (Sanco) marched to the municipal building on 17 May, demanding the removal of Ward 3 and 15 councillors, Ms Mapaseka Molaba and Mr Moses Mahlangu.

Ms Molaba is also the speaker of the Lekwa council.

The 50 odd marchers handed a memorandum to ANC chief whip, Ms Harriet Khotha.

Among their grievances, they accuse the councillors of nepotism.

“We demand the municipality investigates the involvement of the councillors with an unfair employment process at Spoornet,” they said.
