Bethal CPF warns against remote jammers

Chairman warns of latest crime tendencies.

BETHAL – Two house burglaries occurred in Bethal between 18 and 24 June, one in Kleynhans Street and the other one in Vermooten Street.

Mr Jaap Pretorius, chairman of Bethal CPF, said a housebreaking and theft with unknown intention occurred on Farm Legdaar and there was also burglaries on Farm Eerste Geluk at a business.

Theft out of a vehicle occurred at the Cosmos Centre and one case of theft from a vehicle happened at the engineering department of the municipality in Church Street.

A robbery with a firearm took place in Naudé Street.Mr Pretorius warned residents to be careful of remote jammers that are active in town.“Check that your vehicle is locked after using your vehicle’s remote,” said Mr Pretorius.
