Four people taken to hospital after accident on N17 highway

TRICHARDT – Two children are among four patients transported to hospital tonight when the vehicle they were travelling in on the N17 highway crashed into the side of a bakkie at the Vlaklaagte turn-off towards Isibonelo Coal Mine outside Trichardt.

The accident happened at about 8pm when one vehicle crashed into the side of the other one.

Mr Andre Momberg from ER24 ambulance services said the children, aged 8 and 13 years, sustained minor injuries, but were transported to the Mediclinic Highvelf or observation.

Two adults in the bakkie were also transported to hospital by ER24.
