Standerton company warns residents to look out for scammers using their letterhead

Those desperately seeking employment, fall into the trap of parting with hard-earned money, even as much as R3 500, to secure a career.

Ms Ester Ernst of Hintostax drew the Standerton Advertiser’s attention to such a scam with botched attempts at respectability, not to mention the legal ramifications.

The newspaper is in possession of a document with the company’s logo on the top left and another, ‘Roshcorn Metal Work’, on the right [sic].

The logo of the occupational health services was either scanned, copied and pasted in a hurry, or done by someone not quite accustomed to the intricacies of a fraudulent letter.
