Trevor dies after two months in hospital
“The service at both hospitals was excellent,” his father, Mr Alberto Franco, said.
Mr Trevor Ras (Franco) died in hospital on 3 August at about 5.15pm after losing his brain function recovery battle.
Mr Ras sustained severe injuries in an accident on the Secunda Road on 3 June when his vehicle collided with a stray animal and another motorist crashed into him.
The injuries included skull fracture, broken ribs and fractures of the hip and pelvis.
Though diligently and carefully being treated in the intensive unit of the Witbank Hospital and then transferred back to the Standerton Hospital, the medical profession could not save him despite doctors’ initial prognosis.
“The service at both hospitals was excellent,” his father, Mr Alberto Franco, said.
Mr Ras had not suffered from any infection.
