Man slaughtering buck in public agree to remove it from view

KINROSS – Motorists travelling between Kinross an Evander were met with a sight of antelope being slaughtered this morning, 12 August.

Several turned to social media to complain about the slaughtering in public view and the unhygenic conditions in which this is taking place.

The newspaper asked the man doing the slaughtering if he had permission, but he referred us to a nearby farmhouse.

The owners of the farm said they have no knowlege of the incident but they are aware that a neighbouring farmer sold some buck.

The apparent owner of the buck was at the slaughter point when the newspaper returned.

He initially did not want to speak.

Thr police also arrived on the scene and he explained that he had bought the antelope and wanted to cook and sell the meat.

He eventually agreed to remove the carcasses from public view and take it to a butcher or process the meat elsewhere.
