Secunda’s Suikerbekkies bring Christmas cookies to life

The group will resume its activities on January 13 with a demonstration on making marshmallow pops.

Suikerbekkies members embraced the festive spirit as they brought their Christmas cookie creations to life during the second part of their two-part decorating workshop at the NG Goedehoop Rots building on October 14.

Members assembled and decorated iced Christmas cookies using the intricate 3D decorations they piped during the first session on September 9.

The handmade decorations included Christmas trees, gingerbread men, snowmen, reindeer, Father Christmas and other festive figures, adding a special touch to their Christmas creations.

The workshop allowed members to put their piping skills and creativity into practice while learning new techniques and sharing their passion for baking.

This was the group’s final class for the year. Suikerbekkies will resume its activities on January 13 with a demonstration on making marshmallow pops.

Suikerbekkies welcomes bakers of all ages who want to improve their baking and decorating skills. Those interested in joining the group in the new year or learning more about its monthly gatherings can contact Venessa Erasmus on 082 824 0775.

I then took the chance of being a journalist and I have not looked back.
