Standerton Police arrested a woman in connection with the murder of an 58-year-old man earlier today.
According to the police, there was dry blood mixed with vomit on the bed, toilet and basins, which according to them, suggested that he had been dead longer than the woman initially stated.
The woman claimed in a police statement that she last saw her partner this morning when she left for work.
Police suspect that the man had been dead for two to three days, however, the Standerton Advertiser can not confirm or state this as a fact until a postmortem has been carried out.

The body of a 58-year-old man was discovered with a knife wound to the sternum in Caledon Street in Standerton on 3 October.
He was found after one his neighbours could not get hold of him throughout the morning.
The name of the the deceased is withheld as his next of kin has not yet been notified.
According to Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of the Standerton Police, a case of murder has been opened.
