Capt Dixi Nkosi of the Secunda Detective Branch dies in his sleep

SECUNDA – Capt Dixi Nkosi, the head of the Secunda Police Station’s crime office, died at his home yesterday morning, 2 October.

According to his colleagues he called in sick on Monday and stayed in bed most of the time.

He told his daughter on Tuesday morning that he still did not feel well and he returned to bed. It appears that he died in his sleep.

Capt Nkosi was a member of the Secunda Detective Branch for many years where he was also second in command at the time of his death.

Condolences have been streaming in, hailing Capt Nkosi as a dedicated policeman who will be sorely missed.
