BETHAL – The Community Policing Forum (CPF) warned residents of the newest crime tendencies that happened from 8 to 14 October.
Six cases of burglaries at residential premises were reported.
These include two cases in Rogers Avenue and also cases in Danford Street, Tambotie Street and Kleynhans Street.
There were also burglaries at the Farm Kuilfontein and at a guesthouse in Tambotie Street in Bethal.
Several cases of theft out of vehicles were also reported and included one case where a tablet was stolen from a vehicle at North City and two cases where diesel was drained out of trucks, one in Naude Street and one on the Middelburg road.
Mr Price was robbed and an attempted cash in transit robbery took place at OK Foods where a security guard was shot in the neck.
The CPF urged the community to be vigilant and report suspicious behaviour to the police.
The Bethal Farm Safety group also warned residents about increasing crime and send messages on social media about an incident at Midnight Motors in Bethal on Tuesday, 16 October in the early morning hours.
The group also informed residents about an incident where a young woman picked up a hitchhiker and he instructed her to stop the vehicle and tied her up with wire and stole her belongings including her vehicle.
The vehicle was found in eMzinoni after it was involved in an accident.
