Nkosinathi Da Poet (NDP) Foundation reaches out in eMbalenhle

Foundation focuses on foreign nationals

eMBALENHLE – Mr Nkosinathi Hleza, founder of the Nkosinathi Da Poet (NDP) Foundation, and his volunteers recently reached out and handed out food to the needy.

This time the foundation focused specifically on Pakistanis, Somalis and Ethiopians.

“We decided to focus on them, because they have many shops in the small business sector and they contributed a lot last year to our door-to-door campaign to help cancer survivors

Mr Hleza said he realised how needy people really are when an old man asked him for plastic bags and expired food while he was at one of the Somalis’ shops.

“Luckily there was maize with a torn bag and the Somalis gave that to him,” said Mr Hleza.

His organisation will try to supply the old man with groceries every month.
