Strong winds cause devastation at farm near Carolina

Roofs of houses were blown away and one classroom and the kitchen at Siphakamile Combined School was damaged.

Strong winds caused a lot of devastation at the Sthrathrae Farm near Carolina on Monday, 12 November.

Roofs of houses were blown away and one classroom and the kitchen at Siphakamile Combined School was damaged.

No injuries were reported.

Residents are in the process of rebuilding the damaged houses and classroom.

Ermelo has seen a lot of heavy winds and rains in the recent weeks and residents are urged to be careful when storms approach the region.
