Join Famsa for march against woman and child abuse this December

Dignity Box project still continues

SECUNDA – Famsa is hosting a march on Saturday, 1 December and they are inviting the community to support this initiative.

The march will kick off at 8.30am from the parking area of the Secunda Magistrate’s Court’s. Everyone that is against women and child abuse can attend the march.

This is part of Famsa’s Dignity Box project where they create and fill boxes with toiletries and hand them out to victims of rape and abuse.

These boxes include a toothbrush, toothpaste, toiletpaper, soap, a small shampoo, sanitary pads, roll-on, a facecloth, a panty, something sweet and a personal note of encouragement.

The community can also donate only one of the items and Famsa will create the box for the victim.

Famsa is also hosting workshops where volunteers can get together and fill the boxes.

The last workshop will take place on Saturday, 24 November at Mangoliso.

Boxes will be provided and those interested only need to bring the contents of the box.
