Precious Nkambule of the iSithelo Foundation calls on locals to donate school uniforms to the needy
No money would be taken
HIGHVELD – Ms Precious Nkambule of the iSithelo Foundation is collecting used and new school uniforms for children in need.
She urged learners, especially Grade 12’s, to donate their uniforms after writing their exams.
Ms Nkambule said often times matriculants spoil and sign on their uniforms after exams as part of the celebration.
“We know that most children from disadvantaged families won’t have new clothes for Christmas and New Year’s celebration.
“Let us make sure that they will have uniforms and stationery for next year.”
She said they can collect the donated items anywhere in the Govan Mbeki municipal area.
