Show your support to victims of abuse by joining the #DignityMarch

Give a woman dignity by filling a box

SECUNDA – Famsa invites the community to support their march on Saturday, 1 December to create awareness of abuse against women and children.

The march will kick off at 8.30am in the parking area of the Secunda Magistrate’s Court and everyone is welcome to attend.

This forms part of Famsa’s Dignity Box Project where they fill shoe boxes with toiletries.

These boxes will be handed out to victims of rape and abuse.

The items in these boxes include a toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper, soap, a small shampoo, sanitary pads, roll-on, a facecloth, a panty, something sweet and a personal note of encouragement.

Ms Rina Louw, social worker and organiser of the march, said volunteers can donate boxes or any one of the items for the box or make up their own boxes and drop it off at Famsa’s office in Secunda.

Contact Ms Louw at 017 631 1593.
