Vukta celebrate victories

Mr Sibanyoni was celebrated for his sound leadership and vision during the Vukta's AGM.

eMBALENHLE – Mr Fanyana Sibanyoni, chairman of the Vukanini Taxi Association (Vukta), prides himself in the progress and good performance of the association throughout the country.

He said Vukta is of the best performing taxi associations in South Africa.

“The association is happy that it is positively contributing to the lives of locals and that many of the drivers are now taxi owners.

He was speaking during the annual general Vukta meeting which was held at eMbalenhle Sasol Club recently.

This the time of the year that the organisation has to report to the membership and partners about the affairs of the organisation, especially regarding organisational progress and finances.

“We promised to better the lives of the members and their families because it is important to set goals and ideas and to work towards them faithfully.

“Hence it is important to have an AGM so that we evaluate ourselves.

“The day I accepted the position of chairman I was aware that I have the power to choose, imagine, create, plan, speak and most importantly pray, because in the performance of a good action, a man not only benefits himself, he also spreads the blessings on others.

“Blessed is the man who sees the need, recognises the responsibility and actions becomes answers,” Mr Sibanyoni added.

“We are turning 40 this year and I think we now mature enough to deal with our affairs, remember life only begins at 40.”

He concluded by saying that Vukta will continue to promote peace and professionalism within the taxi industry.
