Thief(ves) broke into Ritchie Auto at the intersection of Burger and Kerk Streets by gaining entry through the ceiling.
A total of seven holes was visible through the ceiling.
The incident is suspected to have taken place between the late evening of 18 December and the early hours of 19 December.
According to the Standerton Police, the wiring was cut which is suspected to have hampered the alarm and CCTV-cameras.
The suspect(s) ransacked most of the offices in the building and also used a grinder to make their way through the walk-in safe.
A Kiddies prototype Ford Ranger to the value of R5 000 was stolen.
“It is still not clear what else was taken,” Ritchie’s management said.
An employee noticed the glass door was askew when he arrived for work at around 5am, which is suspected to have been the suspect(s) exit point.
They allegedly used a branding flag to cover the door and an office window.
A case of a business break-in was opened with the Standerton Police.
