#BethalWater: Hendrina sends water to Bethal

BETHAL – The community of Hendrina reached out to a waterless Bethal this morning, 19 January.
About a thousand 5L bottles and 13 000 litres in tanks were delivered at the AC Kerk and Laerskool Marietjie van Niekerk.
One of the organisers, Ms Marlie Wolmarans from Hendrina, said this is their way of returning the favour when the community of Govan Mbeki delivered water to their town last year.
Mr Jaap Pretorius, chairman of Bethal CPF, thanked the Hendria community.
He said 1 069 5l bottles, 35 10l bottles and 13 000l tanks filled with water were delivered today.
“We are expecting more water to still come in this week.”
