Paramedics attend scenes in eMbalenhle and near Kriel within an hour

HIGHVELD – Two accidents happened in less than an hour apart in the Govan Mbeki municipal area last night, 8 February.

The driver of an Audi lost control over the vehicle in Ext 14, eMbalenhle, just after 10pm.

The vehicle spun and tumbled to a stop.

ER24’s paramedics declared a passenger dead on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle appeared to have fled.

The police, provincial ambulances, traffic department and Sectri Autobody were on the scene.

Less than an hour later ER24 ambulances rushed to a head-on collision involving a BMW and a Jetta on the R547 towards Kriel.

The driver of the Jetta sustained moderate injuries while two passengers in the BMW were lightly injured.

ER24 transported all the patients.
