SECUNDA – A local vet had to put a tom cat down after the animal was found with pellet gun wounds today, 21 February.
Feral Watch TNR were called out to Mendelssohn Park, in the Sunset Park area.
“The poor animal was in such pain,” said Ms Nicolette van Zyl, founder of Feral Watch.
“A pellet was lodge in the cat’s spine and the second went into his tummy.”
Ms Van Zyl believes the cat was someone’s pet.
“We want to give the owners some closure as what happened to their pet.”
