Angel Sibeko wants to change the world one motivational talk at a time
Ms Angel Sibeko also aspires to be a pastor, a woman of the cloth, because her faith is deeply entrenched in her life.
Ms Angel Sibeko is definitely living up to her name by changing the world one listener at a time.
The motivational speaker has made a name for herself, giving words of encouragement and upliftment through her faith and helping those who are willing to listen.
An aspiring journalist, Ms Sibeko, comes from humble beginnings and was raised by a single mother who taught her that education is the answer to all things.
However, with limited funds, Ms Sibeko could not pursue higher education after completing her Grade 12.
This led her to travel all the way from her hometown of Pongolo to Ermelo to look for employment.
Working odd jobs, Ms Sibeko landed herself a slot as a contributing motivational speaker at a local radio station.
This led to her being one step closer to doing what she loves most, journalism.
Her dream finally came through when she was given the opportunity to be a journalist at the station and presented news bulletins.
“I would ideally love to study journalism but at the moment, my hands are tied as I do not have the funds to pursue this dream,” Ms Sibeko said.
However, Ms Sibeko is not letting anything get her down as she is holding down a job and during the day and rocking the airwaves in her spare time.
“I am a news anchor, field reporter and part of a motivational talk show at the media house.”
Ms Sibeko also aspires to be a pastor, a woman of the cloth, because her faith is deeply entrenched in her life.
She considers journalism and theology a bit similar in that both callings are that of being gatekeepers and providers of information which educate and inform which is what she is all about.
“That is the ultimate dream and with faith and grace, it will definitely happen.”
For now though, Ms Sibeko, continues to bless her listeners with words of wisdom and motivation, hoping to at least touch one life.
She is also dabbling in poetry and hopes to release and perform her poems to the masses of Msukaligwa Municipality.
“I write and recite my poems in Zulu and once again, they all about my faith and life lessons I have gone through with added encouragement on not to ever give up on life.” Ms
Sibeko’s positive energy and grace is enough to make anyone a believer. “With God, anything is possible,” Ms Sibeko concluded.
