SECUNDA – The three accused drug dealers, Mr Therandran Frank Naidoo, Ms Belinda Margeret Swart and Mr Japhet (Jeff) Chiebuka Onuoha, appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court again on Friday, 15 February.
Two of the three accused applied for legal aid and their case was postponed to Monday, 18 February.
The trio were arrested on Sunday, 12 August last year on the road between Secunda and Evander by members of the Mpumalanga Hawks SANEB (South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau), the Secunda Dog Unit and Crime Intelligence.
Crystal meth to the value of R31 000 was found in the vehicle they were travelling in.
Mr Onuaha appeared in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court as well when he was connected wit ha case in drug dealing there.
Officials connected him with the case in Vanderbijlpark last year after he was granted bail and just about to pay the bail and they re-arrested him.
The cases against him in Secunda and Vanderbijlpark will be handled seperately and he will still appear in court in Vanderbijlpark as well.
Mr Onuaha is currently in custody as the trio’s case is postponed to Wednesday, 3 April when their trial will begin.
