Eskom says power system remains vulnerable
Customers were advised to keep checking their load shedding schedules on the Eskom or municipal website, and plan on the assumption that load shedding will take place.

Eskom issued a press release on 8 March about the loadshedding status.
According to the power utility, some generating units returned to service.
They said loadshedding will only be implemented if absolutely necessary, but warned the power system remains tight and vulnerable.
They also said it could be implemented at short notice should there be a shift in plant performance.
Eskom encouraged residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly and to switch off geysers as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to help in reducing demand.
Customers were advised to keep checking their load shedding schedules on the Eskom or municipal website, and plan on the assumption that load shedding will take place.
