WIN: Local teens stand a chance to win a memorable matric farewell – follow these steps
Entrants are requested to write a letter to Secunda Gratis en Verniet in which the entrant explains why he or she deserves to win.
SECUNDA – Secunda Gratis and Verniet, in conjunction with several local businesses, wants to make this year’s matric farewell extra special for five girls and five boys from local schools.
The first prize for the girls is the use of a beautiful dress, shoes that she can keep, a free hair-do, nails and make-up, the use of a car with a personalised number plate to take her and her partner to the farewell and photos by a professional photographer.
The runner up will win a package that includes the use of a dress, shoes that she can keep, a hair-do, nails and make-up and a personalised number plate.
The girls in third, fourth and fifth place will each receive a gift set that includes the use of a dress, a hair-do, nails and make-up and a personalized number plate.
The winner among the young gentlemen will receive a prize that includes the use of a suit or tuxedo, shoes that he can keep, hairstyling, the use of a car with personalised number plates that will drive him and his partner to the farewell and photos by a professional photographer.
The runner up’s package includes the use of a suit or tuxedo, shoes that he can keep, hairstyling and personalised number plate.
The boys in third, fourth and fifth place will each be given the use of a suit or tuxedo, hairstyling and a personalised number plate.
Entrants are requested to write a letter to Secunda Gratis en Verniet in which the entrant explains why he or she deserves to win.
These letters may be written in English or Afrikaans and should include the entrant’s full name, home address, school and a contact number.
Although the letter might be published, the writer’s personal information will not be publicly shared.
Entrants must also indicate the date of their farewell.
Learners from any school in the former Teks (Trichardt, Evander, Kinross and Secunda) and Charl Cilliers areas can enter.

You may also bring it to the Ridge Times offices on the corner of Pieter Wenning Street and Nelson Mandela Drive.
The closing date is 30 June.
