SPCA comments on allegations of misconduct
“I have investigated all the allegations and could not find any proof of it,” Mr Nick Strydom said.
The chairman of the management committee of the Highveld Ridge SPCA, Mr Nick Strydom, commented on allegations of food donations disappearing from the facility in Standerton.
“I have investigated all the allegations and could not find any proof of it,” Mr Strydom said.
“All food donations are accounted for and still used and stored at the Standerton SPCA.”
According to him, the public nature of the public allegations has made some supporters no longer willing to support the cause.
A committed volunteer’s integrity and character was questioned as well.
He also said that not all animals find new homes and that being euthanised is in some cases a humane act.
“All allegations will be acted upon,” he concluded.
