Family in need: House in eMbalenhle goes up in flames

They have a 15-year-old son, a 14-year-old daughter, a one-year-old daughter and a 5-month-daughter.

eMBALENHLE – A family of five lost everything in a fire on Thursday, 30 May.

The fire allegedly originated in one of the rooms at about 6.30pm and rapidly spread to engulf the entire structure.

Mr Zacharia Nkosi, house owner, said he was sleeping when he heard people screaming that the house was burning.

He jumped up and tried to remove some of his belongings, but it was already too late as the flames were uncontrollable.

Furniture, clothes, important documents and school uniforms were burned.

He called on locals to help the family as they have no belongings left.

They have a 15-year-old son, a 14-year-old daughter, a one-year-old daughter and a 5-month-daughter.
