NDP Foundation and care centre join forces

Community can support foundation by donating sanitary pads and blankets

eMBALENHLE – The Nkosi Da Poet (NDP) Foundation and their Thokoza Gauteng members, joined hands and visited the Dzulani Children Care Centre recently.

The NDP Foundation and the Dzulani Children Care Centre joined forces.

M&M Holdings’ Managing Director, Mr Peter Mapoulo, also visited the Dzulani Children Care Centre and decided to get involved and reach out to the centre by rendering its services such as pest control, cleaning, gardening, waste refuse removal and recycling free.

The founder of NDP, Mr Nkosinathi Hleza, recited some of his poems at the event and Ms Nelly Zondo Nelukau of the Dzulani Children Care Centre, shared her story of how she kept pictures of an orphanage in a scrapbook as a child and dreamt about having a safe house one day.

Mr Hleza said at Dzulani, he has seen the children’s potential and many great singers emerging.

“I believe we can take Dzulani to greater heights with the help of God,” said Mr Hleza.

Children had the chance to perform poetry, sing and dance on the day.

The NDP Foundation donated clothes to Dzulani and Mr Hleza handed out his poetry books.

He asked the community to support the NDP Foundation by donating sanitary towels, school shirts, school shoes and blankets.

Mr Hleza said this initiative is called #BantuGiv which stands for building a nation through giving.
