BREAKING NEWS: Suspects caught after high-speed chase from Ermelo to Delmas

Clothes on Markham's hangers were found in the car.

HIGHVELD – A criminal gang was apprehended on the other side of Delmas after a high speed chase from Ermelo this morning, 21 September.
The group of five men targeted Markhams in the Oak Mall Ermelo and sped off towards Bethal.
Acsu Security took chase. The gang fired at their pursuers.
Mr Hennie Bekker from AfriForum, joined in the chase that continued to Trichardt.
Bethal CPF members helped to organise the others ahead of the chase.
Mr Jaco Horn from GTR town-in services fell in directly behind the suspects’ Jeep Grand Cherokee at Trichardt and also chased after the shooting gang.
Messrs Bekker and Horn stuck behind the suspects until close to Delmas where the Delmas Police and AfriForum members, and M&S Security joined in the hunt.
The gang of five was pulled off past Delmas and arrested.
Clothes on Markham’s hangers were found in the car.


Mr Bekker, on the scene, said the car is being searched and the suspects were arrested.
Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman for Ermelo Police, said this was the third burglary at Markhams at the Oak Mall.
The police are currently on the burglary scene.
