Two die at Sasol mine in two months
Mr Alex Anderson, Head of Group Media Relations at Sasol, said an investigation has been launched in both cases and Sasol is cooperating with the relevant authorities.

Two men died in different accidents during August and September at Sasol’s Twisdraai/Thubelisha Mine near Secunda.
The man who died in August, was allegedly run over by a shuttle car and died on the way to hospital.
The second deceased was allegedly a crane operator at the mine and was caught between the crane and a parked load haul dumper (LHD), on Friday, 27 September.
His foreman found him on the floor with his chest bruised. He was already dead.
He was allegedly positioning the underground mobile crane to install a power back on a conveyer drive when the accident happened.
Mr Alex Anderson, Head of Group Media Relations at Sasol, said an investigation has been launched in both cases and Sasol is cooperating with the relevant authorities.
“We will be reviewing our procedures and will put in place any recommendations from the authorities to ensure this does not happen again,” said Mr Anderson.
“Sasol remains committed to the safety and health of its employees, community and the environment.”
