Kasselman Security Services (KSS) chased a suspect on 27 September and apprehended him in connection with the theft of municipal property.
The man allegedly stole property in Joubert Street, heading towards Walter Sisulu Drive before his arrest.
According to Mr Jannie Kasselman, Mr Simbarashe Kuona, Acting HOD of the Lekwa Municipality, was on his way to open a case at the Standerton Police Station.
The Standerton Advertiser tried to contact Mr Kuona on Friday, 27 September, but the phone was not picked up and no further information was available at the time of going to press.
A call to the communications officer of the police on the same day, Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, went unanswered.
