Elderly encouraged to join service centers

eMBALENHLE – Langverwacht Clinic recently opened their doors for the senior citizens in a bid to strengthen the quality of service delivery and to educate them about available health services.

The organisers said the event was aimed at reaching out to the elderly, exposing them to various services that are offered at the clinic.

The event was attended by various stakeholders including the department of social development, the municipality, police and caregivers.

Addressing the elderly, Ms Eugene Dhludhlu from the department of social development, encouraged them to join the old aged services centres.

She said that will make it easier for them to access services and information about whatever they need.
