SECUNDA – A gang of gunmen held two mall security guards hostage while breaking into Watch Central in the Secunda Mall last night, 12 November.
The Secunda Mall’s management said the incident happened at about 9.10pm.
The five armed men arrived at the mall in a silver-colour Toyota Corolla.
They grabbed two security guards and forced them at gunpoint to Watch Central.
The culprits used hammers to break open the store’s windows.
They fled the mall with an undisclosed number of watches. The value thereof is yet to be determined.
No shots were fired during the robbery.
