Local Secunda band grunts to next level of metal music
Fenriswulf is a successful local brutal melodic death metal band. This is not just another local garage band. They have actually been nominated for three South African Metal Music Awards also known as SAMMA.
SECUNDA – Fenriswulf is a successful local brutal melodic death metal band, but do not let the genre, name, tattoos or piercings scare you.
They are a heavy metal rock group with hardcore members who turned out to be some of the nicest guys in town you will ever meet.
Behind their name, the music and the band lies a very interesting story of the history of Vikings and making good music.
They describe their music as raw and most of their songs have been inspired by real-life events.
Most of the lyrics were written by vocalist Henco Chamberlain.
All the band members are from Secunda and for the first time in two years they were privileged to perform in their hometown on Saturday, 9 November.
This is not just another local garage band.
They have actually been nominated for three South African Metal Music Awards also known as SAMMA.
The South African Metal Music Awards seek to recognise the hard work and achievements of the South African metal music scene.
Drummer, Wikus Kleynhans said: “We will always give our best when we perform. The size of the crowd does not matter.”
Fenriswulf was nominated for Best ExtremeMetal Act, Best Newcomers and Best EP (a compilation of songs, which is longer than a single, but shorter than an album).
