EVANDER – Residents decided to take matters into their own hands and began cleaning up some parts of Evander recently by picking up rubbish.
Ms Fiona Viljoen, who initiated this cleanup campaign, urged people not to throw their rubbish into the roads, especially glass bottles.
Illegal dumping is a big problem in the area and residents and organisations recently also launched cleanup campaigns in Secunda to minimise this problem.
