The Standerton Advertiser noticed that pedestrians could be in danger due to hazards in both Beyers Naudé Street en Princess Street.

The walk in the rain on these two busy streets on Tuesday, 10 December saw manholes, without a lid, near Pick n Pay in town and the main street with a similar problem, as well as open wires near the intersection of Beyers Naudé Street and Princess Street, in front of the entrance to Gert Sibande College.
