Covid-19: Homeless people will stay at shelter until level 1 of lockdown

Bethal Correctional services collect food for the homeless

KINROSS – The staff of Bethal Correctional Services decided to reach out to the homeless people living at Kinross Lapa.

The Correctional Services took hands with Bethal SuperSpar and North City Wholesalers and collected food to the value of R5 000 for the homeless people.

They delivered the food in Kinross on Wednesday, 3 June.

There are currently between 60 and 70 people living at Kinross Lapa and they will stay there until the lockdown moves to level 1.

The Govan Mbeki Municipality’s disaster management team organised the shelter for the homeless people.
