Bethal Police Station closed due to Covid-19 case

The police station will be closed from today, Thursday 18 June until Friday 19 June at 6pm. The number to be used to report any crime is 082 923 1592.

BETHAL – Acting station commander, Capt Anne Steyn, received confirmation from Bethal hospital about a positive case of Covid-19 which happened to be one of the members from the Bethal station who was admitted at Mediclinic Highveld on Saturday, 11 June.

Though the member was on leave before admission to the hospital, the acting station commander was informed that the station need to be closed temporarily for Covid-19 fumigation,

The police station will be closed from today, Thursday 18 June until Friday 19 June at 6pm.

The police station will therefore temporarily operate from the AGS Kerk at 53 Tsibitso Sibanyoni Street, Bethal where members will operate and render services.

The number to be used to report any crime is 082 923 1592.

Capt Steyn encourages everyone not to panic and to use the protective equipment as well as washing hands with water and soap for 20 seconds or use hand sanitisers.

She further encouraged members as well as the public to visit their local health facilities if one suspects he or she might have any symptoms of Covid-19.
