HIGHVELD – Cops from the Secunda Flying Squad arrested a suspected car thief last night, 22 June, and confiscated several items that they suspect are used in stealing vehicles
The members stopped a suspicious silver Toyota Corolla that was travelling towards Matla near Kriel.
A stop and search was conducted and police found an unlicensed firearm with eight rounds of ammunition, as well as a signal jammer and six home-made tools that are typically used to steal vehicles.
They also found two car keys in the vehicle.
The suspect was arrested and is being detained at Leandra Police Station.
