Secunda Spurs FC Academy is preparing for their third annual Kick for Fun under 13 tournament, taking place on September 24 (Heritage Day) at Highveld Christian College in Secunda.

The tournament kicks off at 10:00.

Gail Coles, secretary, said the Secunda Spurs are grateful to already have sponsors supporting them with drinks and medals.

“We are now calling on local businesses to help us with food, fruit, trophies and Man of the Match prizes to make the day extra special for our young players and families,” she said.

The Secunda Spurs also plan to have a fundraising stall and games stall, creating a fun environment while giving the children a chance to learn about fundraising, teamwork and responsibility.

“As part of our commitment to giving back, we will be collecting second-hand clothing and non-perishable food items on the day to donate to Lethukhupila Home Based Care.”

Local businesses and the community are invited to partner with the Secunda Spurs in making this a day of football, fun, learning and giving back.
