Carolina Police arrest two men for robbery with aggravating circumstances

Bonginkosi Simon Sigudla (21) was sentenced to six years' imprisonment.

The Carolina Magistrate’s Court sentenced two men on 24 June for a robbery with aggravating circumstances which occurred on 18 May 2019.

His co-accused, Thabiso Sibanyoni was given a three year sentence which was wholly suspended for five years.

The sentencing came after the accused were arrested and tried for the robbery that took place in Silobela Carolina.

The men assaulted and robbed Ms Karabo Johana Mthombeni (21) who was on her way home from a local pub.

After they assaulted her, they robbed her of her money and belongings valued at R600.
