Secunda Mall is ready to deal with Covid-19 reports
Two tenants in the mall this week reported possible cases among staff. The entities have already deep sanitised their premises.
SECUNDA – The management of Secunda Mall assured patrons that they fully subscribe and adhere to all specific protocols as laid out by Government with regards to Covid-19 reports.

Ms Michelle Nell, mall manager, said that for reasons of privacy, information about test results cannot be shared.
“We can confirm that all sanitisation and disinfection protocols have been strictly adhered to, including but not limited to immediate contact with the Department of Health, the immediate closure of the store, the decontamination and sanitisation thereof, as well as a change in staff compliment. Mall disinfection protocol commenced immediately.”
Ms Nell said that in terms of Government regulations, it is the employer’s responsibility to screen their staff diligently and regularly.
“All of our tenants have assured us of their continued adherence to these regulations.”
Ridge Times has contacted the entities for comment. As soon as they reply, we will update the story.
According to the NICD and the Mpumalanga Department of Health, the number of Covid-19 cases confirmed by 3 July in Govan Mbeki municipal area is 196 of which 96 patients have already recovered.
